Screen Printing FAQs

What is the maximum screen print size?

Our maximum standard print area is 38 × 42 cm, depending on the garment, artwork and print placement.

Is there a minimum order for screen printing?

Screen printing requires more setup than digital printing, so it becomes more cost-effective as quantities increase. We generally recommend it for runs of 25 units or more. For smaller quantities, we can recommend a digital print method instead.

Does adding more colours increase the price?

Yes. Each colour in a screen-printed design requires a separate screen and print pass, so the number of colours can affect the production cost.

Why does printing on dark garments cost more?

Dark garments generally require a white underbase beneath the artwork to keep colours bright and accurate. This creates an additional print layer and can affect the overall cost.

Does screen printing get cheaper at higher quantities?

Generally, yes. Because much of the cost is associated with setting up the screens and press, the cost per unit typically decreases as the quantity increases.

What can you screen print on?

We primarily screen print apparel such as T-shirts, hoodies and uniforms, but screen printing can also be used across a range of merchandise and suitable materials. Send us your product or idea and we can advise on what's possible.
